Sherlock is a gorgeous Samoyed/Great Pyrenees mix-breed dog that resembles a direwolf from “Game of Thrones.” This beautiful creature was set to be euthanized at a high-kill shelter in a rural section of Tennessee. However, thanks to an organization known as Big Fluffy Dog Rescue (BFDR) out of Nashville, Sherlock was given a second chance at life.

Many dogs rescued by BFDR are put up for adoption, but the organization decided that Sherlock was special. The group decided to put him through special training to become a therapy dog. He will need to learn how to respond to specific commands and types of protective behaviors to keep his future master safe.

Once Sherlock completes his training he will be sent to England to become a companion dog for a young boy with autism who is only 8-years-old.

If you would like to contribute to Sherlock’s training, BFDR is fundraising via Goodworld to offset the costs for his training program.
